This year has been hard on everyone and especially hard for people who were already food and housing insecure before the pandemic struck. Many people have lost jobs and homes and now find themselves with very limited resources. Luckily, there has also been an overwhelming response from citizens around the country who have generously donated to homeless shelters, food pantries, and community kitchens to help those who may be in need.
We, who have been extremely fortunate throughout this challenging time, also want to show our support and share some of what we have with others who may not have been so lucky. That is why Dentistry by Angela Britt is conducting a food drive at our office on 100 Professional Center Dr. in Brunswick from now until November 23rd to benefit House of Hope, a place of refuge and recovery.
We humbly ask our patients, and their friends and families, to help us by contributing any items they see fit, such as:
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap
- Laundry detergent
- Toilet paper and paper towels
- Coffee
- Food items for Thanksgiving such as canned veggies, fruit, and soups
Again, please make sure that any items you choose to donate are non-perishable and not expired, as food safety is very important.
This is the season of giving, and with so many additional people in need this year, giving is more important than ever. So, please join us in sharing a little bit of good fortune with those who are in need this holiday season, and please tell others as well. All donations are greatly appreciated.
